- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for medical procedures
- Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 and ICD-9 codes for accurate coding and billing
- Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to facilitate the authorization process
- Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with medical office staff to streamline authorization procedures
- Handle denials and appeals related to authorization issues

Experience:

- Proven experience in a medical office setting or managed care environment
- Proficiency in medical coding and terminology
